PTFE material

Polytetrafluoroethylene (Polytetra fluoroethylene, abbreviated as PTFE) is a thermoplastic. Because of its excellent performance, commonly known as "plastic king". It is a polymer compound formed by polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene. Its structure is-[-CF2-CF2-]n-. It has excellent chemical stability and corrosion resistance. It is one of the preferred materials for corrosion resistance in the world today. Except molten alkali metal, chlorine trifluoride, chlorine pentafluoride and liquid fluorine, it can withstand all other chemicals and does not change in aqua regia under heating conditions, it is widely used in all kinds of occasions that need to resist acid and alkali and organic solvents. It has the advantages of sealing, high lubrication and non-stick, electrical insulation, good anti-aging ability and excellent temperature resistance. Teflon itself is not toxic to humans. The use temperature is -196 ℃ ~ 250 ℃, allowing quenching and quenching, or alternating hot and cold operation. Pressure -0.1~6.4Mpa.

However, due to the absence of viscous flow state, there is not enough mold filling fluidity, so it is difficult to process and form.

Its Chinese trade names are "Teflon" (teflon), "Teflon", "Teflon", "Teflon" and so on.

The mechanical properties of polytetrafluoroethylene are relatively soft. It has a very low surface energy.

It has a series of excellent performance:

Temperature resistance

Long-term use temperature 200~250 ℃; still soft at -100 degrees.

Corrosion resistance

Resistant to aqua regia and all organic solvents.

Weather resistant

High-quality aging life in plastics.

High lubrication

Has a very small coefficient of friction (0.04) in plastic; smoother than ice.

Non-stick

Having little surface tension in a solid material without adhering to anything.

physiological inertia

with physiological inertia

Excellent electrical performance, is an ideal C- class insulation material, a thick layer of newspaper can block 1500V high voltage;

Polytetrafluoroethylene can be molded by compression or extrusion; it can also be made into an aqueous dispersion for coating, impregnation or fiber. PTFE in atomic energy, national defense, aerospace, electronics, electrical, chemical, machinery, instruments, meters, construction, textile, metal surface treatment, pharmaceutical, medical, textile, food, metallurgy and other industries are widely used as high and low temperature resistant, corrosion resistant materials, insulation materials, anti-stick coating, making it an irreplaceable product.

PTFE has outstanding excellent comprehensive performance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, non-stick, self-lubricating, excellent dielectric properties, very low coefficient of friction. Used as engineering plastics, can be made of PTFE tube, rod, belt, plate, film, etc., generally used in high performance requirements of corrosion-resistant pipes, containers, pumps, valves and radar, high-frequency communication equipment, radio equipment. The mechanical properties of PTFE can be greatly improved by adding any filler that can withstand the sintering temperature of PTFE, while maintaining other excellent properties of PTFE. Filled varieties are glass fiber, metal, metal oxide, graphite, molybdenum disulfide, carbon fiber, polyimide, wear resistance, limit PV value can be increased by 1000 times. This type of product that improves the performance of PTFE through fillers is generally called modified PTFE (R-PTFE).

PTFE pipe is made of suspension polymerization PTFE resin by plunger extrusion processing. PTFE braided packing is a kind of good dynamic sealing material, which is made of expanded polytetrachloroethylene tape. It has low friction coefficient, wear resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, good sealing performance, no hydrolysis, no hard and other excellent properties. Gasket seals and lubricating materials used in various media, as well as electrical insulation, capacitor media, wire insulation, electrical instrument insulation, etc. used at various frequencies.
