The China–Europe Fluoroplastics Enterprises Symposium was successfully held in Würzburg, Germany.

On April 30, 2025, the “China–Europe Fluoroplastics Enterprises Symposium,” co-organized by the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and the German Association of Semi-Finished and Consumer Plastic Products, was held in Würzburg, Germany. Attending the event were Wang Zhanjie, Chairman of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association; Zhu Wulan, Secretary-General of the Fluoroplastics Processing Specialized Committee; and Mr. Sven Weihe, Chairman of the German Association of Semi-Finished and Consumer Plastic Products.
More than ten Chinese companies, including Shenzhou City Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shanghua Fluorine Materials Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jinyou Fluorine Materials Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Guotai Xiaoxing Sealing Materials Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Jiaxiang Fluoroplastics Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yihao Plastics Industry Co., Ltd., Wenzhou Chaoxing Steel-Plastic Composite Factory, Shanghai Jiuce Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Jiashan Shide Long Fluorine Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Dankai Technology Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Weilituo Technology Co., Ltd., along with European fluoroplastics‑related enterprises such as AGC, Saint‑Gobain, ITAflon, and SGL Carbon, attended this conference.
The conference focused on key growth areas for fluoroplastics in Europe, business cooperation between Chinese and European enterprises, the development of a circular economy for fluoropolymers, the evolution of China–EU import‑export relations, and the impact of global tariff disputes on the fluoroplastics industry. Participants presented overviews of their companies, highlighting their core products and application fields, shared insights into management innovation and operational efficiency, and engaged in in-depth exchanges. Representatives from Chinese fluoroplastics processing firms highly valued this opportunity to engage with international peers, expressing their hope that the event would serve as a catalyst for deeper collaboration in technological R&D, market expansion, and other areas, thereby jointly advancing the high‑quality development of the fluoroplastics sector.
Wang Zhanjie, Chairman of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, outlined the current performance of China’s plastics processing sector. He noted that the industry is not only a high-quality traditional sector and a vital component of everyday life but also a foundational and integral part of emerging and future‑oriented industries within advanced manufacturing, making significant contributions to economic development and the improvement of living standards. He expressed his anticipation for strengthened cooperation with the German Association for Semi‑Finished Products and Consumer Plastics, aiming to jointly propel the China–Germany plastics value chain toward leapfrogging growth through enhanced exchanges and collaboration.
Sven Weihe, Chairman of the German Association for Industrial Semi-Finished Products and Consumer Plastics, outlined the fundamentals of pro‑K, responded positively to the cooperation initiative, and explicitly expressed his commitment to jointly advancing the development of the plastics industries in China and Europe. He emphasized that deepening exchanges and collaboration between the two sides would not only open up new opportunities for businesses on both sides but also exert a positive and far-reaching impact on the global plastics industry’s transition toward green and sustainable development.
The successful convening of this symposium has established an efficient, professional, and international cooperation platform for Chinese and European fluoroplastics enterprises, enhanced mutual understanding between Chinese and European companies, further strengthened exchanges and collaboration, and injected new momentum into the joint development of the fluoroplastics industry in both China and Europe.
