On November 17, 2025, the “2025 Fluoroplastic Processing Technology Exchange Conference and Annual Meeting of the Fluoroplastic Processing Specialized Committee,” hosted by the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and organized by the Fluoroplastic Processing Specialized Committee of the association, was successfully held in Hangzhou. The event brought together industry leaders—including corporate experts, researchers, and distinguished university professors—from across the country in the fields of fluoroplastic research and development, production, processing, and applications, with nearly 200 participants in attendance. The conference was chaired by Zhu Wulan, Secretary-General of the Specialized Committee.
Wang Zhanjie, Vice President of the China National Light Industry Council and Chairman of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, delivered a welcome address. In his remarks, Chairman Wang analyzed the overall development trends of the plastics industry and commended the achievements of the fluoroplastics processing sector during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He emphasized that, moving forward, it is essential to prioritize innovation-driven development to strengthen new‑type productive forces; accelerate digital‑intelligence integration to enhance industry efficiency; uphold green and low‑carbon principles to support high‑quality growth; and deepen collaborative, open cooperation to build robust ecosystem advantages. With clear goals in sight, he urged all stakeholders to press ahead with determination and steady progress, jointly writing a new chapter of high‑quality development for China’s plastics industry as we embark on the next phase of the 15th Five-Year Plan.
The meeting reviewed and approved the “Work Report of the Fluoroplastic Processing Professional Committee of the China Plastics Association,” presented by Liu Zhewei, Chairman of the Committee. The report summarized the Committee’s achievements in industry services, technical exchanges, and standards promotion, while also outlining the key priorities for the next phase. Additionally, the meeting approved the “Financial Report of the Fluoroplastic Processing Professional Committee of the China Plastics Association,” submitted by Lü Fang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Committee.
The conference focused on technological innovation in the fluoroplastics industry, expansion of application areas, and digital and intelligent transformation, featuring five keynote presentations. Huang Guodian, Chairman of Guangzhou Jingbang Sealing Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation titled “Digital and Intelligent Empowerment: Technology Fuels the Future,” sharing the company’s practical experience in digitalization and smart management. Professor Bao Yongzhong of Zhejiang University presented on “Properties and Processing Techniques of Melt‑Processable Fluoroplastics,” providing a detailed overview of their structure, characteristics, and manufacturing processes. Academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering and Professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Wu Dameng, gave a talk entitled “Irradiation‑Modified Polytetrafluoroethylene and Its Typical Applications,” highlighting how irradiation‑based modification offers new technical pathways for fluoroplastics in high‑end sectors. Researcher Chen Ning from the Institute of Polymer Science at Sichuan University presented “Processing and Applications of Polyvinylidene Fluoride‑Based Piezoelectric Composites,” analyzing the material’s properties, processing methods, and potential applications. Finally, Zhu Xiaoyou, Chairman of Youflu Mifang Valve Group Co., Ltd., addressed “Development Trends of Fluorine‑Lined Pipes and Valves: Replacing Imports with Domestic Solutions,” outlining recent technological breakthroughs in domestically produced fluorine‑lined pipe and valve products and the roadmap for import substitution.
The successful convening of this conference has forged industry-wide consensus and jointly mapped out a blueprint for development, injecting strong momentum into the sector’s innovation and intelligent transformation, while laying a solid foundation for overcoming bottlenecks in industry growth and advancing the sector toward higher‑end value chains.
